Tamsin Murray Leach has worked in both the commercial and academic sectors as a writer, editor and researcher. Most recently, she has been the research officer on Beyond The Technological Revolution, the project led by Carlota Perez which analyses the historical role of the state in shaping the context for innovation and development. She is completing a PhD at IIPP as part of her work on the Beyond 4.0 project, focusing on the relationship between productivity, employment and income (in)equality in times of technological transition. Her particular research interests include the social construction of economic narratives; the impact of changing tax regimes and other forms of the ‘social compact’ across different techno-economic paradigms; potential future(s) of the welfare state; and the role of ‘bottom-up’ politics in the diffusion of technological potential.
