Established in 1981, the Institute for Employment Research (IER) at the University of Warwick is a leading international social science research centre. Its research is interdisciplinary and made relevant to policy makers and practitioners. It is renowned for consistently delivering high quality research. Research questions are tackled in projects funded by a range of public and private sector organisations and through publications in academic journals. IER’s work includes comparative European research on employment and training as well as that focusing on the UK at national, regional and local level. Researchers deploy a variety of methodological approaches, pertinent to the research questions at hand.
