The event was held from 1st to 4th June in San Sebastian (Basque Country, Spain) under the title "Transforming workplaces through digitalisation" in a hybrid format, combining classroom and online mode.  Egoitz Pomares, Steven Dhondt and Chris Warhurst led the activity together with other members of the BEYOND4.0 consortium.
Statistical Needs for Research in Social Sciences

Statistical Needs
for Research in Social Sciences

On 29th of March, 2021, The Cnam-CEET organised an online expert workshop on Statistical Needs for Research in Social Sciences on the Technological Transformation. There were three objectives for this event. The first one was to bring together producers and users to opportunities and barriers to developing aggregated and harmonised linked employer/employee databases, and options to be taken into existing surveys to facilitate this task. The second one was to propose and discuss a measurement frame based on existing surveys to be able to follow technological developments and analyse their consequences from the points of view of organisations and workers. The last one was to discuss data access and servicing policies by confronting producers' and users’ views.
This event brought together around twenty speakers from the different sessions and as many participants. The discussions were rich and made it possible to share many experiences on using existing data, access to data, and suggesting ways for improvement.

"Talent Is The Currency!"
First Reports on Entrepreneurial Business Ecosystem (WP4 & 8) Will Be Presented  Later This Year
Workpackages 4 and 8 study strategies of regions and companies in six countries in dealing with the digital transformation and the socio-economic consequences.

Using the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem model as a framework helps us to assess assess these strategies' strengths and weaknesses. To make a bridge from the scientific research results towards policy recommendations for practitioners, the next step is to assess opportunities and threats.

Due to COVID-19, we could only start this year with research activities and holding the first set of workshops with stakeholders. First results are expected in the 2nd half of 2021 and some findings will be presented at BEYOND4.0 Scientific conference in Sofia in September.
